What does it mean to leave a legacy at VinUni? 

For the Class of 2026, it means coming together to support the VinUnians who will follow in their footsteps. 

This year, graduating students initiated VinUni’s first student-led Class Gift campaign a collective giving initiative through which members of the graduating class contribute, in any amount, to create opportunities and support for future generations of students. 

An inspiring 82% of the Class of 2026 participated, setting a new participation record for a VinUni giving campaign and surpassing the 66% achieved by the university’s first Alumni Giving campaign among Cohort 1. Together, the graduating class raised USD 3,600, turning gratitude into meaningful support and bringing Empathy – one of the five attributes in VinUni’s EXCEL framework to life. 

The Class of 2026 achieved: 

💙 82% participation across the graduating class
💙 USD 3,600 raised by graduating students 

A special congratulations goes to the College of Health Sciences, where 100% of graduating students contributed – making it the first college at VinUni to achieve full participation in a giving campaign. 

By exceeding the campaign goals, the Class of 2026 also unlocked generous matching contributions from VinUni’s academic leaders: 

🎁 USD 3,500 from Prof. Sunmee Choi, Vice Provost of External Engagement 

🎁 USD 1,000 from Prof. Michelle, Dean of the College of Health Sciences
🎁 USD 1,000 from the leadership of the College of Engineering and Computer Science 

✨ Together, the campaign generated a total contribution of USD 9,100. 

The funds will go directly to VinUni’s Emergency Support Fund, providing timely assistance to junior students facing unexpected hardships, including family crises, medical situations, or temporary financial difficulties. Through this support, the Class of 2026 hopes that no VinUnian will ever feel alone and that VinUni will remain a caring second home for every student. 

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 for beginning a meaningful new tradition at VinUni. Your generosity will help future VinUnians overcome unexpected challenges, continue pursuing their aspirations, and one day pay that spirit of giving forward.
