Nguyen Xuan Huy

Huy grew up in Hanoi with his younger brother and parents. His father is a security guard and his mother mends clothes for the neighbors. Huy says he was inspired to pursue education to help people because of the example of his English teacher who provided hospitalized cancer patients rice and milk in the hospital. 

He chose VinUni because VinUni teaches you more than facts in text book. VinUni uses its general education program to teach you about how to develop an aspiration, how to be a good person. “VinUni teaches the whole person”

At Vinuni, he meets with friends to study together, learn and grow from each other. He values his work study project where he studies the culture of rural Vietnamese with David Harrison. He also likes learning practical knowledge from the world class scientists who come to VinUni for the VinFuture Prize

He says higher education would be simply impossible if not for his scholarship. 

When he graduates, he looks forward to adoption to a working environment as part of his personal development. He is considering a job in business data analytics because “I love numbers”.
