Le Chi Cuong
College of Health Sciences
Cuong grew up in the Mekong Delta with his younger brother. His mother had Cuong at 19 and is a therapeutic masseuse and his father is a motorbike repair person. Because his family cannot support enough resources for his further education, he chose to work as an intern for a Teen Magazine. When he wanted to eat snacks like other kids, he ignored his craving to save money to buy books because he believed it could bring his life into a better place.
Cuong applied to VinUni and received a 100% scholarship. He accepted VinUni because of the international exposure and VinUni builds talents for the future. He chose nursing to help and serve people. Cuong also wants to explore the world. Cuong took advantage of our study abroad programs and saw Cornell, Cornell Tech, Penn, Columbia, Arizona State, Stanford, and Dharma Realm Buddhist University.
In the nursing program, Cuong has learned to love himself so he can take care of his people. VinUni has helped him look deeply into himself so he can be a better and more effective caregiver. He says there is nothing bigger than for him to serve others.
He would like to pray for everyone who believes in VinUni students and supports us. He hopes you have peace of mind, family and soul. According to Budda’s teachings, he knows that those who help VinUni students will have their children and grandchildren blessed by the good things they do. Their kindness and spirit of generosity will spread through their family and everything they do for this and generations to follow.
