VinUni Celebrated the Giving by Major Internal Donors, for the first time

In November 24th and 28th 2025, VinUni held its first Major Internal Donor Recognition Ceremony to recognize donors who contributed significantly to the first Giving to VinUni campaign. It was a heartfelt moment to say: Thank you for believing in our students and making such a big donation!

Our first major donors from VinUni’s leaders and faculty include:

  • Prof. Laurent El Ghaoui – Vice Provost for Research & Innovation
  • Prof. Sunmee Choi – Vice Provost for External Engagement
  • Prof. Michelle Hermiston – Dean of the College of Health Sciences
  • Prof. Jason Picard – Faculty Member, College of Arts and Sciences
  • Prof. Kok Seng Wong – Faculty Member, College of Engineering and Computer Science 

What touched us most were the stories behind each donation. As one donor shared, “As an educator, there is no greater joy than helping talented students who dare to dream—and work hard to achieve those dreams.” 

At VinUni, the culture of giving extends far beyond our leaders and faculty. It continues to grow through the generosity of our alumni, parents, and students. This spirit of giving is what makes VinUni a true community—one where every individual is encouraged to support one another so that, together, we can grow stronger.
